Summary - Religious Interventionism
Serbs and Religious Interventionism (1991–2015), Belgrade 2015.
Instead of summary
I wrote this book Serbs and Religious Interventionism (1991–2015) as a professional historian and former official of the Ministry of Religion of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Serbia.
With this book I want to show that the process of religious interventionism against the Serbian Orthodox Church and Serbs goes together with military and economic interventionism against Serbian and Yugoslav statehood, from the break-up of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia till nowadays, with its climax in two expulsions of Serbian population in 1995 and 1999.
Religious interventionism is supported by the United States of America, some countries within European Union, Vatican, Turkey and committed by satellite governments in almost all countries which border the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Srpska (the Serb Republic in Bosnia-Herzegovina).
Actions of so-called “Croatian Orthodox Church”, so-called “Montenegrin Orthodox Church”, parts of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church formerly in schism, non-canonical moves by the Romanian Orthodox Church are directed towards reshaping of the religious consciousness of the Serbian Orthodox believers in Croatia, Montenegro and eastern Serbia.
Also, actions of the Roman Catholic Church in Croatia, Montenegro, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Kosovo-Metohija show that some structures within it support work of so-called “Orthodox Churches” in Croatia and Montenegro, propose cancellation of the Republic of Srpska and falsely claim that the most important Serbian Orthodox shrines in Kosovo-Metohija are based on Albanian Roman Catholic roots.
Islamic connection between Turkey and Muslim Albanians and Bosniaks is mainly directed to the goal that the Islamic Community in the Republic of Serbia should participate mainly within structures of the Islamic Community of Bosnia-Herzegovina and partially within structures of the Islamic Community of Kosovo. There is no Turkish support to the Islamic Community of Serbia with seat in Belgrade which is traditional religious community of the Republic of Serbia.
American factor gives support to almost every move against the Serbian Orthodox Church mostly in Serbia, Montenegro and Macedonia but elsewhere as well. “Two European countries” were behind some Islamic turbulences in Serbia. It is heavy to claim that there is coordination between the United States of America, some European countries, Vatican, Turkey and neighboring states in destabilization of fruitful state-religious dialogue in the Republic of Serbia and the Serbian Orthodox Church within the area of former Yugoslavia. But coordination between some of them certainly exists. The aim of religious interventionism is to bite more and more Serbian Orthodox population on the edges of Serbian ethnic territories and then to continue further to the core of Serbian nation. If Serbs rise again they may be a stepping stone of Russia to the Mediterranean.
But not just Serbs are in danger but as well peoples who gravitate to the same sphere and have almost the same inner and outer problems. Still there is a Serbian-Montenegrin kinship and Serbian-Macedonian brotherhood. Serbs, Montenegrins who speak Serbian language and Macedonians are well connected to each other – religiously, ethnically, culturally and historically. Integration of the Republic of Serbia, the Republic of Srpska, Montenegro and the Republic of Macedonia, according to the European models, might create valuable and strong political and economical entity capable to defend itself from imposed challenges.
